Bunk Beds & Kids Beds

Bunk beds solve the oldest children's-bedroom problem: two sleepers, one room's worth of floor. Buying well here matters more than in most categories, because safety comes before style. Our collection holds three solid-wood designs built for the daily punishment children deliver. The triple sleeper in grey wood puts a single bed over a double, sleeping three in the footprint of one. The twin-over-twin solid-wood bunk is the classic two-sleeper. The detachable white bunk with a trundle is the flexible pick: bunks while the children are young, two single beds when they are older, plus a pull-out third bed for guests. Kids' beds come in a wide range of colours and finishes: if the finish you want is not shown, contact us and we will try to find it for you. Anyone furnishing the rest of the room should see our Chest Drawers collection for storage and Desks for study space. On safety, here is straight guidance: the standard advice is age six and up for the top bunk. Check that guard rails are fitted on both sides of the upper bed, that the ladder feels solid, and that the top-bunk mattress sits within the depth the guard rail is designed for, as stated on each listing. These bunks take standard UK single mattresses (3ft by 6ft3). Common questions Q: What age is safe for the top bunk? A: Six years and up is the standard guidance. Younger children should sleep on the lower bunk. Q: What should I check before buying a bunk? A: Guard rails on both sides of the upper bed, a solid ladder, and a top mattress that sits within the rail depth stated on the listing. Q: What is the advantage of a detachable bunk? A: It converts into two single beds when the children outgrow bunking, so the purchase lasts into the teenage years. Every UK order ships with free delivery, you pay nothing until the bed has been checked at your door, and many ranges include a 5-year manufacturer guarantee - see the product page for details.
