Coffee Tables

The coffee table sits at the centre of the living room, visually and literally, so it sets the style tone for the sofas around it. Choosing well repays the effort every single day. Our collection covers every current living-room look: marble-effect round, oval and nesting tables, tempered-glass tops on gold frames, and light-wood and gold nesting sets. Nesting tables are the practical pick: they expand for entertaining and tuck away daily. Marble-effect brings a luxury look at a sensible price; glass and gold suits glamorous interiors; light wood keeps Scandinavian schemes cohesive. Coffee tables come in a wide spread of colours and finishes: if the combination you want is not listed, contact us and we will try to find it for you. Shoppers building a full room should see Console Tables and Tv Unit Stand for matching pieces, and our Luxury Sofas collection for the seating to go with them. Scale guidance: the table should span about two-thirds of your sofa's length and sit 30-45cm away from it: close enough to reach, far enough for legs. Height-wise, match the sofa seat height or sit 2-5cm lower. For households with toddlers, rounded or oval tops remove the sharp-corner worry. Common questions Q: What size coffee table do I need? A: About two-thirds of your sofa's length, 30-45cm away, at or just below seat height. Q: Nesting tables or one fixed table? A: Nesting if you entertain or the room multitasks; one fixed table if the layout never changes. Q: Which shape suits a home with toddlers? A: Round or oval. No sharp corners, and little heads meet a curved edge instead. All coffee tables include free UK delivery, you pay nothing until you have inspected the table at your door, and many ranges carry a 5-year manufacturer guarantee - check the product page for details.
