Living Room

Coffee tables, console tables, TV units, desks and chests of drawers are the surfaces a living room runs on. Getting their scale and finish right is what makes a room feel finished rather than merely furnished, so this collection gathers them in one place to help you match pieces across the room. We are expanding this range, so the tables currently live in our specialist collections: Coffee Tables for marble-effect, glass-and-gold and nesting designs; Console Tables for narrow marble-effect, glass and mango-wood pieces; Desks for home-office desks with drawer storage; Tv Unit Stand for TV units; and Chest Drawers for chests and bedside tables. Finishes are coordinated across the ranges, so a coffee table, TV stand and chest of drawers can share one material story, from marble-effect and gold through oak and walnut to grey gloss and white. If the exact living-room table you want is not listed, contact us and we will try to find it for you. Scale is the detail that decides success. A coffee table should sit 30-45cm from the sofa and span about two-thirds of its length, while a TV unit should be wider than the television for visual balance. Measure doorways and stairwells before ordering anything over 150cm wide, since the longest panel has to travel the whole route. Common questions Q: How do I match tables across one room? A: Pick a single material story, such as marble-effect with gold or oak with black, and repeat it across two or three pieces. Q: What size coffee table suits my sofa? A: About two-thirds of the sofa's length, positioned 30-45cm away: close enough to reach, far enough for legs. Q: Will a TV unit suit a large screen? A: Check the width on the listing. The unit should be wider than the television, with room for ventilation around consoles.
